PROJECTS OF OASIS MINISTRIES
FOOD DISTRIBUTION
We help those who are in need with food packets in the villages.
GIFT OF LIFE: CLEAN WATER
Many interior villages of West Bengal are suffering because of the lack of clean drinking water. Oasis Ministries is reaching the unreached by providing them with the Gift of Life: Clean Water. Oasis Ministries is mobilizing resources to drill tube wells in villages. Clean water doesn’t just save lives, it changes them… forever.
ADULT LITERACY CENTERS
This project of Oasis is aimed to help the illiterate to gain literacy. At present we have centers all over West Bengal where between 10-25 adults attend. We also have literacy centers for poor, less fortunate children who are unable to go to school.
VILLAGE FEEDING PROGRAM
The volunteers of the Oasis ministries visit the villages of West Bengal on a regular basis to assess their needs and to help them. Oasis has identified few tribal villages in this district and arranged feeding programs on special occasions. Oasis also helps the poor and needy financially.
VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER
Oasis Ministries help train young people for self-employment. Many of them who complete their training find themselves earning a salary to support them. We also provide the poor trained people with needed instruments for their work, such as sewing machine.
EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE
Oasis Ministries helps the poor students with school bags, books, uniforms, fees and other necessary items for their education. We also help the poor, needy students with fees and pocket money for their higher studies.
MEDICAL CAMPS / MEDICAL AID
Medical facilities are very limited in the villages of West Bengal and even if it is available, many cannot afford it. Oasis comes forward to help those needy people who cannot afford essential treatments. Oasis also facilitates Medical camps on a regular basis in the villages where no medical facility is available.
BUILD HOUSES FOR THE POOR
Oasis helps build houses of poor and needy. During monsoon season many mud huts of villagers get destroyed due to flood. Oasis came forward to rebuild many of those houses in the last monsoon season.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE POOR
Oasis Ministry help the poor and needy by giving them financial assistance. The orphans and widows are given priority but even others are considered in this project.
